Scientist use pedigrees to analyze the probability of different things. Pedigrees show scientist whether what are the chances of the offspring getting a certain trait or a certain diseases. For Example : Hair Color, Eye Color, Hair Type, Skin Color & some diseases like : ,Anemia, Hypertension, Cholesterol. A pedigree is a useful tool to use when studying genetics because it shows the chances of one of the family members getting a certain trait or diseases and passing it on to their offspring, & their offspring re-producing .

In My pedigree the characteristic shown is HAIR TYPE. In this pedigree there are 3 generations shown : 1 . My Grand Parents from both my mom`s & dad`s side. 2.My Mother & Father. & last but not least their offspring which is 3.Me. My Pedigree includes a key which is to the right which shows Male & Female. It also shows the Color green which represents Extremely curly Hair , Yellow : which represents wavy hair & Hot Pink : which represents Straight hair. The Dominant trait in my pedigree is the color Green which shows : Extremely Curly Hair .I think this because both sides of my grandparents are different colors, so that represents Dominant because when parents have different colors the color that appears is a dominant trait. I am Dominant because both my Grandpa & Daddy both have extremely curly hair and that is the trait that appeared in my Dad&Mom`s offspring which is me.I Have EXTREMELY CURLY HAIR.

Step 1: use your flowchart to determine which is dominant or recesive .
Step 2: place the parents genotype and spread it to the offspring
Step 3: Use a punnett square to see if the results are possible.
Step 4: Check if it is homozygous dominant, or heterozygous dominant or recesive?

Answer : heterozygous dominant
